STUTTAFORDS Rosebank Re-Launch

Rosebank Mall (Johannesburg) has recently revamped and I'm loving the new look and changes. 

Stuttafords is one of the most successful retail brands that got a little touch up. The official store opening was on the 31^st of July and 4Elements Media hosted the VIP bash.  

Stuttafords is well known for their wide variety of exclusive brands and what girl isn't a little brand conscious. I'd like to think that Stuttafords has a brand for almost everyone. A few of the brands that really impressed me were, Pringle, Polo, Banana Republic and Ted Baker.

I really fell in love with Ted Baker,although it's a little bit matured for my liking but I won't be looking back from here on.

The event was successful,I hardly contained my excitement as this was my first attendance at any store opening and it was a valid reason for shopping,right? I sure will be seeing Stuttafords again.

My little piece of Heaven

"Everything you choose to surround yourself with is a reflection of you." Not sure if this is one of those quotes I've read before or just a mere thought I came up with,either way I certainly believe it.

My surrounding always determines my mood,ambiance is everything to me basically. And my "Little piece if Heaven" is just the perfect place.

I probably don't know all the a's and b's when it comes to interior design but design is just design,right? And well,I have a good eye for nice things,so I've been told (by myself).

"To have and to hold."

Bags are to me what shoes are to most women. I'm not so big on accessorizing and I always keep it simple although I do comprise when it comes to any type of bag. From shoulder bags,clutches,shopper bags and luggage (which I'm completely obsessed over) you name it,I'm all over it. 

A good bag goes a long way and just like shoes,you can never have too many. As they say,one can tell a persons personality from the shoes they're wearing and I think the same goes for bags. I don't know if it's one of the gifts that come along with being a fashion designer or stylist but I can pretty much tell who you might be as a person from a simple glimpse of your bag. (I'm more than willing to be tested on this one.)

I recently watched 'The Devil Wears Prada' for like the hundredth time and this quote pretty much sums it up.

Nate: Why do women need so many bags?

Lilly: Shut up.

Nate: You have one. You put all your junk in it, and that's it. You're done.

Doug: Fashion is not about utility. An accessory is merely a piece of iconography used to express individual identity.

Lilly: Oh! And it's pretty.

Doug: That too.

Liker.

I'm such a liker for nice pretty things (Yes,I admit). Pretty things make all girls happy,right? For me the simplest things in life bring great pleasure and joy,although I'm a bit hard to please - that confuses me as much as it does you. Anyway here are a few things I'm liking and are a tad bit obsessed with at the moment.

This months Elle Magazine,sunnies and silk scarfs.

Everything from Typo (my obsession). Journal and ink pen.

Collecting empty bottles and filling them with flowers. Simple accessories. Blogging. 

Fall / Winter must have.

Simple must haves for Fall / Winter.

1. Knitted jersey

1. I've always found knitted jerseys to be comfortable and easy to style. If it's not comfortable then it shouldn't be worn, (I live by this rule). Knits are perfect for the easy type of girl who dresses down quite a lot,wether it's for campus or a chilled day at work. What's great about knits is that you don't need to dress up for it. A pair of boots and a scarf or a neck piece are a great way to finish off your look. 

2. Classic denim jacket is a MUST have. Not only is it perfect for winter but this baby is an all season rounder. This is by far my fouvorite must have. If you're a lover for layering during winter then I suggest you get one. Denim jackets are easy to layer,wether you throw in a check shirt or a plain cotton jersey. If you're a bit adventurous and know how to pull it off,denim on denim is the way to go. 

3. Another classic,the leather jacket. Need I say more?! Every fashionista knows that a leather jacket is an essential item in their wardroab. You can practically dress in a leather jacket with almost everything. I love how it also gives you that edgy bad girl look or simply chic look without trying too hard. But most people often go wrong when it comes to choosing the perfect leather jacket. Know your body structure,what works for you and find the perfect fit. Real leather can be quite expensive but it's worth it - my parents said I should learn to invest. 

TopShop x Kate Moss

Kate Moss's collaboration collection with TopShop hit our stores yesterday. I couldn't help but go check it out only to be a little bit disappointed. The collection isn't at all that bad but it's for a more matured market,I feel. It cateres for the woman who would alternatively shop at Zara and the price range said it all so well.

Despite it being too matured for me,I really loved that it's a boho chic look meets the downtown New York girl. The collection has a wide variety of prints,colour and texture. It's pretty simple and fun.

The one piece that really caught my eye is the fringe beaded dress. I immediately fell in love with it and is probably the only piece I would get from the collection.
